Grosvenor Casinos has highlighted its gaming academy in Nottingham， which is helping those seeking jobs into employment.

The casino chain ran a four-week academy program to help people without employment become casino dealers， including training across a wide range of table games such as poker， blackjack and roulette.

At the end of the program， 10 people between 18-30 were offered employment by the operator， while they were also taught about the importance of responsible gambling.

Meanwhile， Emily Poxson， an 18-year-old trainee from Nottingham， said of the scheme: “I was completely new to casinos and gambling when I decided to join the Gaming Academy.

"Taking part in this training has allowed me to learn so much about the different casino games and I was really surprised at how accessible they are， as well as how many women come to play.

“This experience has been the most fun I have ever had in a job， and enjoyed the support and training we’ve received.”
